We are often asked for advice from our customers. Here are a few of the questions we are asked most often, but if you have a query that is not answered here then please don't hesitate to contact us.

I'm a new visitor, how can I place an order?

Please click on the pebble shown on the home page, this will take you to our spa shop. You can either use the shopping basket and pay by paypal account or click on Order Form and this will lead you to the order form PDF document which you should print, complete and post to us.

How do I store your products? Do I need to keep them under a certain Temperature?

Our products are most effective under room temperature. (i.e.: No extreme heat/cold or direct sunlight)

Who Certifies your Organic Ingredients?

We use ingredients which are Certified by Soil Association and Eco-Cert. Our products are also certified by both the Vegetarian and the Vegan Society.

I have sensitive skin - can I use your products?

All of our products are made with only the finest ingredients. We have had great feedback from people who do have sensitive skin and who have used and enjoyed our products. As with any new product though, the skin may take a little time to adjust and even though we use the purest of natural ingredients it is still possible for some skin types to be sensitive to some of them. As a common sense precaution we suggest you apply a small amount on the inside of the elbow, ideally covered with a plaster, as a test. Being extra sensitive to many things is no fun at all; even some natural ingredients can be a problem, like essential oils. The fragrance free range is just for you, no essential oils are used just Aloe Vera in a plant based formulation so it is ideal if you're extra sensitive. They still work just as well for the skin, hair and body.

Are there any products that I need to avoid while I am pregnant?

There is a lot of controversial information surrounding the use of essential oils during pregnancy. Pregnancy can be so different an experience for the individual, therefore we always recommend seeking professional medical advice from your GP before using essential oil products.

Why does The Natural Spa Company use oils?

Our products are mostly based on the finest oils; the skin "recognises" the natural oil in the end product and allows it to be easily absorbed. A higher percentage of nourishing oils makes our creams denser & richer so they need to be applied sparingly. (This is more economical for the customer, as a little goes a long way!) Your skin will benefit in the long run because the oils remain in the skin layers for longer, so imparting their nutrients & replenishing qualities. Mass-produced creams are made non-greasy & "lighter" by reducing the oil content (the majority of oils in conventional creams are petrol derivatives). The best moisture replenishers are oil rich products.

This is why mainstream face creams are so ineffective on the skin, and they make your cream feel incredibly whippy & it 'soaks in' almost instantly. Actually, it hasn't soaked in at all - it has simply evaporated into the air!

Do your products contain any preservatives?

No! Every product we make is free from any artificial preservative - instead we use specially selected ingredients with naturally lengthy shelf-lives. Please see our pages on 'What We Use and Why' and also the page 'What We Don’t Use and Why'.

Do you sell cosmetics such as foundation, mascara etc?

We have so far focused on looking after our skin rather than on a "cover-up" approach. We like to look after & make the most of what each individual has! We believe that health & beauty are synonymous - so if someone has glowing, healthy skin, bright eyes & shining hair, they are naturally beautiful - wrinkles or no wrinkles! Pure organic skincare, (combined with healthy living), will enhance each individual's own natural beauty.

However we do all like to wear make up and be glamorous! A little bit of make up makes us all feel good and why not! The organic skincare provides an ideal make up base. Soon we will be introducing an organic mineral make up range – so watch this space!
